1...This icon represents just about every chapter of my life i've ever had. The person i was named after, the first concert i went to, the first song i every played on guitar, and years upon years of countless memories of my dad and I when he still lived in california.
2...Neil Young was inspired by a lot of the greats. Elvis was the main person he was trying to be when he played guitar, others include, Johhny Cash, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and The Fleetwoods.
3...Neil Young has become one of the most inspirational and well known guitar players in the world. He inspired me and has been a major part of my guitar playing life, and life in general.
4...This icon became really important to me when i went to see him in concert when i was a child. From then i had fallen in love with his incredible guitar skills, I always listened to him with my dad in the car or at home, i learned how to play a lot of his songs on guitar, and i idoled him in a way.
5...This icon inspired many, many, guitarists from the time he started playing until now. He inspired my dad when he played guitar in college, me since i was a child until now, and im sure he will inspire my son as well.
Johnny Ramone
1…To me, Johnny Ramone represent a whole childhood of great music. My dad introduced me to great punk bands like Sonic Youth, The Circle Jerks, Sex Pistols, and Green Day(Back when Dookie was there latest album and they were enjoyable to listen to). But one band stuck like no other, The Ramones. Johnny, Joey, Deedee, and Marky Ramone, they taught me to love and enjoy punk rock like no other. I ate, drank, and dreamed Ramones, i lived to listen to them. They taught me all about New York underground puck, C.B.G.B, and what the power chord really was.
2…This icon became important to american culture by bringing the power chord and punk rock to New York City. They became the best American Punk Rock you could find and really brought Punk to the USA.
3…This icon inspired guitar players and just musicians all over the world. I know my dad was strongly inspired by Johnny Ramones style of guitar playing and dress(although probably a little more by Johnny Thunders).
Joe Strummer
2…This icon became important in american culture by bringing the world so many great things in music, and having such good taste in music. Not just creating one of the best bands of all time The Clash, but also being an amazing DJ.
5…This icon inspired an entire generation of music after his. Just about any musician in America couldn't deny they were in some way inspired by The Clash and Joe Strummer.
